Stars of Tomorrow Talent Show in Brighton on April 13, 2018

Brighton, CO (February 15, 2018) - The Brighton Kiwanis club is again sponsoring their annual Stars of Tomorrow Talent Show, which showcases the performing talents of local students. This year’s event will be held at Southeast Elementary School, located at 1595 E. Southern Street in Brighton. Local youth have the opportunity to compete in four divisions, ranging from kindergarten through high school. Acts include vocal, musical, dance and acting.

“We are excited to give our local youth the opportunity to showcase their talents,” stated show coordinator, Diana Maher. “This show is one of the many ways the Brighton Kiwanis club supports children in our city. Every year we are impressed with the range of talent and skills our competitors demonstrate.”

Categories for this year’s event are divided by age:

  • Elementary Division I – Pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade
  • Elementary Division II – Grades 3rd through 5th
  • Junior Division – Grades 6th through 8th and
  • Senior Division – Grades 9th through 12th

Each category and age group competes for trophies, and the winning senior division competitor has the opportunity to move on to the regional Stars of Tomorrow competition in April. The regional competition includes the opportunity to earn scholarships and move up to higher competition levels. There is a $10 entry fee for each act, and scholarships for the entry fee are available based on need. The winner of the senior division may perform and compete in the Stars of Tomorrow District Show in April.
